Sustainable livelihoods programs are a holistic approach to community development. By creating opportunities for marginalized communities such as rural tribal farmers and women to gain access to the market, GPM is helping to build economic independence. This empowerment and financial independence in turn helps the communities and the families struggling to survive in the harsh realities of the slums of Mumbai and the rural villages outside of Mumbai.

 

When women thrive communities thrive. That's why GPM has four women's empowerment micro-enterprises, employing over 25 women and placing women at the center of their community's development.
