Education
Education plays an integral role in a child’s ability to thrive and fulfil their potential. Unfortunately millions of children in India have been denied this fundamental human right. GPM strives to fulfil this right through our education focused programs and interventions in communities that have been denied opportunities for inclusive equitable and quality educational and learning.
The United Nations recognizes Education as a primary component in eradicating poverty and achieving equity within societies and communities. The UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) #4 targets Quality Education For All, with and aim to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.”
This goal of Education has a direct influence on ALL other SDGs, such as ending poverty, prompting health and well-being,gender equality, accessing decent work and sustainable growth, and climate change mitigation.
Education is the catalyst for breaking the cycle of poverty and ensuring a better future, one child at a time.
That's why GPM provides formal and informal learning to over 1000 children each year. Our education programs provide a holistic and nurturing educational environment for learners, which encourages problem solving, critical thinking, and experiential learning, along with hot nutritious meals each day, and monthly wellness checks from our health staff.
